Custom Therapeutic Massage WITH Cupping
Description
This session utilizes all of the same techniques in the custom therapeutic massage with the edition of cups. Cupping is used to assist with pain relief, reduction of inflammation, and to increase blood flow in the area cups are applied. The cups utilized in this massage therapy session are not glass and are therefore, not applied with heat like an acupuncturist may do. The cups utilized here are acrylic and and suction is created through a pump that can allow more easy control of the pressure applied. Cups are typically applied after some initial massage techniques have been applied first. Cups may be moved around or left stationary in a specific area. Most commonly cups are applied to the back and shoulder areas. Resultant cupping marks, if any occur, should not last more than a few days and should not be painful.
